Attachments help support see exactly what you see.
One screenshot usually replaces several paragraphs of description, and it removes any ambiguity about which screen or message you mean.
Attaching files
Drag files onto the attachment area when you submit a ticket or post a reply, or select the area to open a file browser. Several files can be attached to the same message.
Accepted files and limits
- Images: PNG, JPG, GIF.
- Documents: PDF, TXT, LOG.
- Archives: ZIP, for grouping several logs together.
- Each file must stay inside the size limit shown next to the upload area.
If a file is rejected, it is nearly always the type or the size. Putting a large log inside a ZIP solves both at once.
Making a screenshot useful
- Capture the full error message rather than a crop of part of it.
- Include the browser address bar when the URL matters.
- Add the developer tools Console or Network tab when the problem is a script or a request.
- Blur or crop out personal data before uploading.
For anything animated or sequential, a short screen recording in a ZIP is fine and often clearer than a series of stills.
