Free, read-only scan of enabled third-party extensions. File, line, and replacement for legacy PHP APIs and incomplete manifests. Joomla core is skipped. Extension PHP and SQL are never executed.
Where it runs
Open the administrator
This product is an admin tool. After install, go to Components > Migration Scanner. Run Scan site on a staging copy, then open an extension that Will not run.
File and line
Each finding names the path, the line, and the replacement so you fix a pattern, not a guess.
Worst first
Dashboard KPIs and a short plan start with extensions that will not run on Joomla 6.
Compat vs rewrite
See what still needs plg_behaviour_compat6, and what the plugin cannot save.
Read-only
The scanner does not run extension PHP or SQL. Core and disabled items are skipped.
JSON and reports
Export findings or download a printable site report for agencies and developers.
Free, paid rewrite
The scanner stays free. Paid support can quote a rewrite when you want Infyways to fix an extension.
First-time setup
Four steps
- Unzip
MigrationScanner_UNZIP.zip, then install thepkg_jxmscanner_*.zipinside - Open Components > Migration Scanner
- Click Scan site on a staging copy and wait until Idle
- Open an extension that Will not run, or use Paid support if you want a rewrite quote
