• Runs on Joomla 5 and Joomla 6 with the Behaviour - Backward Compatibility plugin disabled.
• The module picker loads through the service provider and the database service.

Version 2.4: 14 July 2026

• Modern UI: Refreshed toast design with theme presets, icons, CTA button, glass option, and cleaner close control.
• Vanilla JavaScript: Core engine no longer depends on jQuery. Optional $.fn.jxSticky() bridge remains for compatibility. Public API: JxStickyNotification.open(), close(), and reset().
• Triggers: Show on page load, delay, scroll percentage, click selector, idle time, or exit intent.
• Positions: Six placements (corners + top/bottom center) plus true fullscreen overlay portaled to document.body (avoids transform/overflow clipping).
• Queue stacking: Multiple notifications in the same corner stack with spacing instead of overlapping.
• Storage: Remember dismissals with cookie, session storage, or local storage (GDPR-friendlier). Legacy cookie names still recognised. Test mode default is off for production installs.
• Content: HTML editor blocks, nested Joomla module, Facebook Page Plugin embed, title, icon, and CTA.
• Targeting: Schedule window, device (desktop/mobile), user groups, menu items, and URL match.
• Motion: Separate show/hide animations (slide, fade, scale, directional fades, none) with fast/slow/custom speed and reduced-motion support. Fixed center-position alignment when animation is fade/none.
• Assets: Minified files live under assets/min/ so Joomla debug auto-min detection cannot swap the wrong build.
• Architecture: Joomla 4+ module structure with services/, namespaced src/ Dispatcher and Helper.
• Compatibility: Joomla 4, 5, and 6. Joomla 3 is no longer supported.
• Languages: Full admin packs for en-GB, de-DE, fr-FR, nl-NL, es-ES, and it-IT.

Version 2.3: 29 March 2026

• Internationalisation: Module name and all administrator labels/descriptions use language keys. Full .ini / .sys.ini packs for en-GB, de-DE, fr-FR, nl-NL, es-ES, and it-IT.
• JX asset namespacing: Replaced legacy sticky.js / sticky.css with jx-sticky.js and jx-sticky.css (jx-sticky-* classes, #jx-sticky-notify{id}).
• JavaScript: $.fn.jxSticky() with validated positions, correct cookie/session handling, optional auto-close, accessible close button. Cookie prefix jx_sticky_{id} with legacy the_cookie{id} support.
• Web assets: Loaded via Web Asset Manager; options passed with json_encode().
• Minified assets: Optional compact CSS/JS for production.
• Show / hide animations: Separate show and hide parameters with directional fades and prefers-reduced-motion support.
• Compatibility: Improved support for Joomla 4, 5, and 6.
